Floor‑to‑Floor Expansion Joint Cover with Stainless Steel Deck

The XLCS Seismic Series expansion joint covers are designed so that the cover plates and surrounding floor finish are flush. The series is designed to accommodate normal thermal movement of the day-to-day requirements of the structure while accommodating extreme multidirectional movement during seismic events. Latham strongly recommend systems of this size have the cover plates treated with a slip resistant coating for better pedestrian safety. The XLCS series are suitable for installation with tile, carpet, timber, vinyl and other flooring finishes.

Materials

• Aluminium 6063-T5 mill finish alloy.

• 304 Grade, 2B finish stainless steel cover plates.

• Spring steel treated centring bar with nylon spherical balls at ~475mm centres.

• Supplied in 3050mm lengths.

Fixings

• Side members factory drilled to accept countersunk head 10mm fixings at ~350mm centres.

• Side screw holes factory drilled for 10mm non-countersunk fixings.
