The project included structural repairs, conservation of historical features, and improvements in air quality and accessibility. Latham Australia proudly supplied its BRGNS Solid Brass Grate for the project.

The extension was built to meet current and future demand in the CBD and inner north areas and has delivered more than 9,000 square metres of new teaching, learning and working spaces.
The new seven-storey tower fits seamlessly with the original buildings and features a rooftop sports area, a ground floor café and student services reception for senior students, an entrepreneurial hub and STEM labs. Latham Australia's Surface Line and Flat Line Mechanical Expansion Joint Covers were specified for the project.
Cairns Convention Centre, Cairns, Queensland
The Queensland government has opened the $176m expansion to the Cairns Convention Centre. Built in the 1990’s, the original facility was designed by Cox Architecture, who were jointly commissioned with CA Architects, to build the expansion. The expansion seamlessly integrates with the existing development, and, with the reclamation of the waterfront area, the building embraces the natural beauty of its surroundings with views across Trinity Inlet and the mountains beyond.
The 10,500 sqm expansion includes a large undercover, tropically planted forecourt, an expanded main entry lobby, a 400-seat plenary lecture space, three 110-seat meeting rooms, exhibition space for up to 30 display booths, a 500-seat banquet room with a large adjoining pre-function space.
