Floor‑to‑Wall Expansion Joint Cover with Stainless Steel Deck

The GXSL Surface-Line Series surface mounted floor-to-wall expansion joint covers carry a stainless steel cover plate. The series is designed to be fixed directly through the side members, normally in applications where the requirement for a recess has been overlooked. The detail below shows a 16mm x 20mm recess in the slab, which is only required for joints less than 42 mm wide. This effectively increases the width of the structural joint the system will accommodate. The GXSL Series is installed on top of the floor finish. These joints can be used in conjunction with many floor finishes such as concrete toppings, terrazzo, tile, timber, epoxy finishes etc. They would commonly be used in locations such as shopping centres, hotels, office foyers, schools, airports and other pedestrian traffic situations.

Materials

• Aluminium 6063-T5 mill finish alloy.

• 304 Grade 2B finish stainless steel cover plate.

• Supplied in 3050mm lengths.

Fixings

• Side member factory drilled to accept 6.5mm countersunk head fixings at ~475mm centres.

• Wall member factory drilled to accept 6.5mm countersunk head fixings at ~475mm centres.

• We recommend Latham Thixotropic Epoxy Adhesive be used in conjunction for superior securing.
