Floor‑to‑Floor Expansion Joint Cover with Ribbed Deck

The GXAL Surface-Line Seriess surface mounted floor-to-wall expansion joint covers are designed to be fixed directly through the side members, normally in applications where the requirement for a recess has been overlooked. The detail below shows a 16mm x 20mm recess in the slab, which is only required for joints less than 42mm wide. This effectively increases the width of the structural joint the system will accommodate. The GXAL Series is installed on top of the floor finish. These joints can be used in conjunction with many floor finishes such as concrete toppings, terrazzo, tile, timber, epoxy finishes etc. They would commonly be used in locations such as shopping centres, hotels, office foyers, schools, airports and other pedestrian traffic situations.

• Side member factory drilled to accept 6.5mm countersunk head fixings at ~475mm centres.
