Floor‑to‑Floor Expansion Joint Cover with Ribbed Deck

The FXA Surface-Line Series surface mounted floor-to-floor expansion joint covers are designed to be fixed directly through the side members, and can be packed up if required. The detail below shows a 16mm x 20mm recess in the slabs, which is only required for joints less than 57mm wide. This effectively increases the width of the structural joint the system will accommodate. The FXA Series is installed flush with the floor finish, offering a flat transition across the joint. These joints can be used in conjunction with floor finishes such as tile or direct-stick carpet. They would commonly be used in locations such as shopping centres, hotels, office foyers, schools, airports and other pedestrian traffic situations.

Materials

• Aluminium 6063-T5 mill finish alloy.

• Supplied in 3050mm lengths.

• Spring steel treated centring bar with cylindrical pins at ~475mm centres to facilitate multidirectional movement.

Fixings

• Side members factory drilled to accept 6.5mm countersunk head fixings at ~475mm centres.

• We recommend Latham Thixotropic Epoxy Adhesive be used in conjunction for superior securing.
