Latham Asbra Extra Visual Slip Resistant Safety Stair Tread Nosings

Latham Extra Visual Slip Resistant Safety Stair Tread Nosings are specifically designed to comply with the ever
changing government standards and safety regulations (NZS 3661.1, AS 1428). These profiles in particular feature very high contrast
with the surrounding floor or step finish. This in itself is a major aid to the visually impaired helping them
make out the edge of the step and thus assisting in the elimination of falls.
All 10 profiles have the new Latham 25mm Safety Visual Indicator Bar, which should contrast with the surrounding
floor finish. The 744 and 944 Series can include the new bullnose indicator strip which is available with
either a 12mm narrow sight line or an 18mm wide sight line. The visual bullnose indicator can be replaced
with a different indicator colour at any time.

pedestrians, building occupants and owners.
Safety is further enhanced through Latham Asbra Safety Stair Tread Nosings highlighting the leading edge of the
step, when filled with slip-resistant Suregrip Black or Supagrit Coloured Silicon Carbide Mineral Granules.
Lathams recommend choosing an infill colour that will achieve a 30% colour variation between the tread and
the underlying step or background colour(See Luminance Contrast Testing Data below).
